We’ll break down what this shed has for upgrades, how long it took to build, and if the customer was happy with their shed (spoiler, they were!).

This shed is 10’x16′ in size with lots of upgrades including:

8′ sidewall height
Custom vinyl siding to match house
An extra 3rd window (on the left side)
3-tiered storage shelves
Workbench and storage loft combo
Hanging interior solar light

Drawings and Permit

This shed was over the 120 square feet, meaning it needed a permit in Fargo. But that didn't stop us! We helped the customer get through the permit process by providing the city with drawings.

Solid Wood Base

This was a unique build in that the customer hired a 3rd party to install a gravel base pad for their shed. While not necessary to have, it did make it easier to level the shed base!

Vinyl Siding

The homeowner wanted the shed to match their house perfectly - and we were able to do just that! With vinyl siding, our all white doors are included at no extra cost.

8' Sidewalls

The main purpose of this shed was to hold as many items as possible, including a couple of kayaks. The customer opted for 8' tall sidewalls in order to maximize their space.

Door Threshold

We included an aluminum door threshold, which will help extend the life of the subfloor at the door area. It's sure to get dinged and scratched, but that's what it's there for!

Solar Light

The homeowner wanted to access their shed at night, so we added this bright hanging solar light. It is motion activated, so it only turns on if someone opens the door.

3-Tiered Shelving

Did we mention the customer wanted space to put things? Look no further! Our shelving system is very solid and provides tons of room to store items and totes.

Workbench and Loft

In addition to the shelves, on the opposite side we installed a workbench with a storage loft above it! The extra window will also allow for natural light to enter the shed.

Quick Build

The entire build took two full days, but due to a rain storm it took place over three days. Still pretty quick for a shed this size and with so many upgrades!

Levi, Jordan and Landon did a fantastic job. They had to deal with the cold and rain in the beginning and with heat and humidity during most of the day. I started searching where to buy a shed and was discouraged with the fact that I would need to prepare the spot I wanted it. And then I was Blessed to find Square Shed! I love what they offer. Had a great experience with Square Shed. From the initial contact, the communication with Beau was timely and professional. He followed up with all request and did exactly what he said he would. They arrived on the date as promised and built a 10x12 in about 10 hours. The quality and construction of the shed is excellent. The best part is with Beau and his team building on site, I did not have to remove my fence and they did not tear my yard up with heavy equipment. They left my property as clean as they found it. Highly recommend Beau and his team!

Beau and his team were phenomenal to work with while I was looking to tear down my current shed and build a brand new one. From phone call #1, Beau was attentive, asked the right questions and listened to what I needed. He was extremely responsive during the entire process and shared plenty of details and photos on their build technique so I knew what I was signing up for. They were very knowledgeable about building sheds, even on uneven spaces (mine was partially on the flat ground and partially on a concrete slab). He explained to me how he can level the shed in the event the ground ever shifts and assured me that a quick call to him if anything goes wrong will fix it. I had been looking online at pre-build sheds for several months. Once I decided it was time to buy, the sheds I had been looking at had been sold, so I started looking again. This time, I found SquareShed and liked that they build onsite, they use 2"x6" boards for floor trusts (pre-built only used 2"x4"), you don't have to tear down your fence to get a pre-built shed into your backyard, and the price was similar to (if not less than) the smaller pre-built sheds I had considered. I called them on 9/5/24 (after 5:00pm) to ask some questions and the owner actually answered the phone (impressive). He asked me to submit a request online so he could get me a quote and told me to contact the City of Fargo to start a building permit application for my 12' x 24' shed (you don't need a permit for some smaller sheds). On 9/16/24, one of their men came over to see exactly where the shed would go in my yard, confirm the size/features I wanted, and get my deposit. Later that same day, the owner emailed me the drawings I needed to submit with my permit application and gave me the answers I needed for questions on the application I wasn't sure how to answer. On 9/20/24, I got my permit from the City. On 9/24/24, the crew arrived to start building. By mid-afternoon the next day, my shed was finished, my yard had been cleaned up, and they were gone (when they said they'd get it done in 2 days I wasn't sure they'd be able to do it -- but they did!). Now I just need to move everything I want from the garage and my older, smaller sheds (that my wife is VERY happy I'm getting rid of) into the shed. Go online. Check them out. Based on my experience, I highly recommend SquareShed!!!

The shed was built in one day (7 hours) and is affordable, quality designed, and constructed. Would 100% recommend to anyone needing a shed built. (Note: I added the ramp myself after the shed was built, no doubt a ramp built by Square Shed would have been much better quality and style).

Beau and his guys showed up and had my shed built in 1 day. I have a modern style house and I wanted my shed to match that modern style. We have a narrow pathway to where the shed was to be built so we couldn’t do a prefab building.
