About Us
At SquareShed, we got our start in 2023 out of a garage in Fargo, North Dakota, of all places. What started as a one-man show has grown and changed quite a bit!
After building nearly 150 sheds in just two years in Fargo, we were able to take our business model and duplicate it to a new location across the country – Charlotte, North Carolina. Our efficient building method, and our dedication to great customer service, is what allowed us to expand and open a second location so quickly in 2025.
While expanding was a huge milestone, we realized how difficult it is to run separate businesses so far apart geographically. In June of 2026, we sold our Fargo location to a new, local, owner who now operates the same business under the Elite Shedz brand.
Scaling back has allowed us to now put all of our focus into being the best on-site shed builder in Charlotte, NC.
With a small but efficient and skilled team, we are dedicated to building you the best shed we possibly can. We take pride in our work and always strive to provide our customers with the highest quality shed and customer service.
Between our Charlotte location and the original Fargo location, we’ve built over 350 sheds – each and every one built on site.
We look forward to working with you on your shed project!
Meet The SquareShed Owner
Beau
Hello, my name is Beau (pictured with my family – my kids LOVE our shed) and I am happy to have you here on our website!
I am the owner of SquareShed. SquareShed is a custom shed building business I started in order to fill a need that I saw in the local Fargo area… which was high quality and customizable sheds, that are specifically built right on site for customers.
After two successful years running our business in Fargo, my family and I relocated for better weather near Charlotte, North Carolina. Shortly after moving we opened our 2nd location down south.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. “Who is this guy and can he actually build a high quality shed” Understood… I am a skeptical person myself. But the truth is, I’m (and now: my team is) uniquely qualified to build your shed based on my past experiences.
I have a degree in mechanical engineering, along with nearly 4 years of experience in the competitive engineering world. After leaving engineering for more flexibility and opportunities, I set out on my own to buy and renovate houses throughout Fargo and Moorhead. I taught myself all the skills needed to renovate entire houses from top to bottom (skills we now use to build your shed). I became a licensed ND contractor and had success renovating several houses over the past few years.
You might be wondering, “engineering, real estate, and now… sheds?” Fair question. But it’s simple, really. Sheds are more personal. There are more face-to-face interactions with customers. Something you don’t get with house flips. There’s also more creativity in customizing the shed to the customer’s liking. It’s very satisfying to bring a customer’s vision to life and see the joy that a finished product can bring.
Thank you for considering SquareShed for your shed building needs. I look forward to working with you to make your dream shed a reality!
Rating
Beau and his crew were great to work with from start to finish. We are very pleased with every aspect of the process.
Beau, Rachel, and the rest of the team at SquareShed did a great job on a 10x12 shed in my backyard. They were quick to reply to any and all questions, put together a packet for the HOA review, and made the process extremely easy. The crew were personable, efficient, and didn’t leave behind any scraps or trash. They were in and out in less than 8 hours. The materials used and craftsmanship is excellent. The best part about this company is they do site prep and build a foundation with anchors instead of using concrete blocks. Would highly recommend anyone to go with this company!
Beau was great to work with & our shed turned out awesome! He was recommended to us by our friends and will be recommending Beau going forward.
We couldn't be happier with Beau and SquareShed, he delivered a high quality shed at an affordable price! Thank you!
I highly recommend SquareShed, our experience with them was excellent from star to finish! Their team worked with us to create a shed/sitting space that was perfect for our yard.
I am so happy with our new shed. All building materials are excellent. You will not find a warped or cracked 2x4 in the whole building. All walls are plumb and square. The three man crew was so professional, and hard working. They took less than one day to erect the shed . When they left, the shed was swept out and the grounds completely cleaned up. Beau worked hard to find the correct color to match our house. Everything about this shed is exactly as advertised and promised. Great job !!!
SquareShed is excellent company with amazing integrity. Five star for many reasons: timely communication, custom design, quality materials, professional and yet customer friendly. Our shed turned out better than expected and is a great addition to our yard. You will not be disappointed! Contact them today to get started!
