We’ll break down what this shed has for upgrades, how long it took to build, and if the customer was happy with their shed (spoiler, they were!).
This shed is 10’x16′ in size with lots of upgrades including:
- 8′ sidewall height
- Custom vinyl siding to match house
- An extra 3rd window (on the left side)
- 3-tiered storage shelves
- Workbench and storage loft combo
- Hanging interior solar light
Drawings and Permit
This shed was over the 120 square feet, meaning it needed a permit in Fargo. But that didn't stop us! We helped the customer get through the permit process by providing the city with drawings.
Solid Wood Base
This was a unique build in that the customer hired a 3rd party to install a gravel base pad for their shed. While not necessary to have, it did make it easier to level the shed base!
Vinyl Siding
The homeowner wanted the shed to match their house perfectly - and we were able to do just that! With vinyl siding, our all white doors are included at no extra cost.
8' Sidewalls
The main purpose of this shed was to hold as many items as possible, including a couple of kayaks. The customer opted for 8' tall sidewalls in order to maximize their space.
Door Threshold
We included an aluminum door threshold, which will help extend the life of the subfloor at the door area. It's sure to get dinged and scratched, but that's what it's there for!
Solar Light
The homeowner wanted to access their shed at night, so we added this bright hanging solar light. It is motion activated, so it only turns on if someone opens the door.
3-Tiered Shelving
Did we mention the customer wanted space to put things? Look no further! Our shelving system is very solid and provides tons of room to store items and totes.
Workbench and Loft
In addition to the shelves, on the opposite side we installed a workbench with a storage loft above it! The extra window will also allow for natural light to enter the shed.
Quick Build
The entire build took two full days, but due to a rain storm it took place over three days. Still pretty quick for a shed this size and with so many upgrades!
