Everyone knows that working with a garage contractor can be a headache, but it doesn't need to be like that! At SquareShed, we use a simple 3-step process for building your garage in or around the Charlotte area.

Your quote submission does not need to be perfect, our experts can help you design exactly what you need in your garage.

After finalizing your garage quote, we’ll set up a time to meet (either on site or via video chat) to finalize your garage layout and design.

At this point, we collect a down payment, discuss your materials delivery, and set a build date.

This is the fun part! Sit back and relax, while our team of experts constructs your garage for you.

Garage builds take from 3-5 days on site when you factor in a cement slab, and we do our best to get out of your hair as fast as we can.

Garage Features

We said we use the best materials, and we mean it.

Here are some of the main features of our garages.

Free Delivery and Installation

We hand carry all materials through your gate. Don't worry about removing fences or wrecking your lawn with a delivered shed.

Custom shed base leveled with tuffblocks while built on site.

Shed Leveling

We elevate and level your shed using treated 4x4 posts and TuffBlock footings. This ensures easy leveling, air circulation, and years of service without damage to your shed base.

Shed built on site with Advantech wood shed floor base.

Premium Floor System

We use 2x6 treated floor joists with 3/4" Advantech subfloor to make our floor system extra strong. Most others use 2x4 joists and 5/8" flooring.

Custom shed 2x4 shed wall framing, all built on site.

Sturdy Walls

On Standard Edition Sheds, our walls are framed 24" OC for sheds up to 10x12, and 16" OC for sheds larger than 10x12. We use only hand picked top choice 2x4 wall studs. We also use double top plates for added strength!

LP smartside paneling for custom shed exterior siding.

50-Year LP SmartSide Panels

We use LP Smartside panels for our shed wall siding. It is an exterior grade panel, pre-primed a natural tan color. It is specially manufactured so it will not absorb water.

PVC shed trim for custom site built sheds.

Maintenance-Free PVC Trim

Our trim boards are solid PVC boards, meaning they will never rot or need touchup paint. We use top quality PVC on all of the corners, windows, and doors.

Roofing Underlayment

In addition to top quality shingles, we cover all our roofs with synthetic roofing underlayment for and extra layer of added protection. Some companies don't use any underlayment!

Residential Architectural Shingles

We offer GAF Timberline HDZ and Owens Corning shingles (location dependent) - the same quality that is used on your house! With several color options, we can likely match your house shingle color.

Gable Vents

We install gable vents on each end of your shed at no extra charge. This is important to help with air circulation inside of the shed, to keep the shed and it's contents safe!

Roof Overhangs

Our Standard Edition Sheds offer a 4" overhang along all rooflines, to reduce moisture exposure during bad weather. Signature Series Sheds come with a 12" vented overhang.

Locking Handle

Our doors use a T-style locking handle, complete with your own set of keys. You even get a free wood-engraved SquareShed keychain!

Door Spring Pins

The secondary door is locked securely with two black spring style pins that can only be opened from inside of the shed.

I had been looking online at pre-build sheds for several months. Once I decided it was time to buy, the sheds I had been looking at had been sold, so I started looking again. This time, I found SquareShed and liked that they build onsite, they use 2"x6" boards for floor trusts (pre-built only used 2"x4"), you don't have to tear down your fence to get a pre-built shed into your backyard, and the price was similar to (if not less than) the smaller pre-built sheds I had considered. I called them on 9/5/24 (after 5:00pm) to ask some questions and the owner actually answered the phone (impressive). He asked me to submit a request online so he could get me a quote and told me to contact the City of Fargo to start a building permit application for my 12' x 24' shed (you don't need a permit for some smaller sheds). On 9/16/24, one of their men came over to see exactly where the shed would go in my yard, confirm the size/features I wanted, and get my deposit. Later that same day, the owner emailed me the drawings I needed to submit with my permit application and gave me the answers I needed for questions on the application I wasn't sure how to answer. On 9/20/24, I got my permit from the City. On 9/24/24, the crew arrived to start building. By mid-afternoon the next day, my shed was finished, my yard had been cleaned up, and they were gone (when they said they'd get it done in 2 days I wasn't sure they'd be able to do it -- but they did!). Now I just need to move everything I want from the garage and my older, smaller sheds (that my wife is VERY happy I'm getting rid of) into the shed. Go online. Check them out. Based on my experience, I highly recommend SquareShed!!!

He explained to me how he can level the shed in the event the ground ever shifts and assured me that a quick call to him if anything goes wrong will fix it. He provided everything I wanted in a shed. The shingles, paint color, windows and shutters match or are at least similar to my house. We had him do the painting because he uses high quality paint and does good work. He demolished and hauled away the old shed. All the materials for the new shed had to be hauled by hand from the front yard to the backyard because there is no easy access to where I wanted it built. We were very impressed with the quality of his work, how accessible he was through emails and the calls he made back and forth from West Fargo building department. It didn't take long from planning the new shed, demolition of the old one, to having the finished product that easily passed building inspection.

Beau and his guys showed up and had my shed built in 1 day. I have a modern style house and I wanted my shed to match that modern style. We have a narrow pathway to where the shed was to be built so we couldn’t do a prefab building. Beau and I went back and forth over design ideas and came up with the design that compliments our house perfectly. He listened to what we wanted and definitely delivered.
