About Us
At SquareShed, we got our start out of a garage in Fargo, North Dakota. We modeled a proven shed-building method – one that was developed by a craftsman with over 20 years of experience building thousands of sheds. What started as a one-man show has grown and changed quite a bit!
With nearly 150 sheds built in just two years, we’ve honed our shed-building process to an art form, constantly learning and perfecting our craft with each new shed. This efficient method, along with our dedication to great customer service, has allowed us to open a second location all the way across the country – from North Dakota to North Carolina.
With a small but efficient and skilled team, we are dedicated to building you the best shed we possibly can. We take pride in our work and always strive to provide our customers with the highest quality shed and customer service.

Meet The SquareShed Owner
Beau
Hello, my name is Beau (pictured with my family – my kids LOVE our shed) and I am happy to have you here on our website!
I am the owner of SquareShed. SquareShed is a custom shed building business I started in order to fill a need that I saw in the local Fargo area – which is high quality and customizable sheds, that are specifically built right on site for customers.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. “Who is this guy and can he actually build a shed that doesn’t fall apart?” Understood – I am a skeptical person myself. But the truth is, I (along with my team) am uniquely qualified to build your shed based on my past experiences.
I have a degree in mechanical engineering, along with nearly 4 years of experience in the competitive engineering world. After leaving engineering for more flexibility and opportunities, I set out on my own to buy and renovate houses throughout Fargo and Moorhead. I taught myself all the skills needed to renovate entire houses from top to bottom (skills we now use to build your shed). I became a licensed contractor and had success renovating several houses over the past few years.
You might be wondering, “engineering, real estate, and now… sheds?” Fair question. But it’s simple, really. Sheds are more personal. There are more face-to-face interactions with customers. Something you don’t get with house flips. There’s also more creativity in customizing the shed to the customer’s liking. It’s very satisfying to bring a customer’s vision to life and see the joy that a finished product can bring.
