Standard Edition Shed Features

All of the shed features listed here still apply to the Standard Edition Sheds, but below is a breakdown of this style of shed in more detail.

Roof Overhang Style

The main difference in our shed styles, is the Standard Edition Sheds come with a Standard Shed Style roof overhang. This overhang is smaller, but still provides good rain protection for the shed siding by diverting the water out from the shed 3.5".

Sidewall Heights

The Standard Edition Sheds come in three sidewall heights - our standard 6.5' walls, or upgrade to 7' or 8' walls if you want more headroom. 7' and 8' tall walls come with a taller shed-style door as well.

Siding Options

SmartSide panel siding - painted or unpainted (tan) - and vinyl siding are available for the Standard Edition Sheds. We do our best to match paint and vinyl siding colors to your current house color.

Door Options

The Standard Edition Sheds come standard with a shed-style double door. Doors vary in width from 4' to 5', depending on shed size. Steel service doors and rollup doors are also available as an upgrade.

Insulation Limitations

Many people ask about insulating their shed after we're done building. The way the Standard Edition Sheds are built, we do not recommend insulating or finishing off the interior of the shed due to ventilation requirements.

Foundation

While a cement slab can be used for the foundation of the Standard Edition Sheds, the vast majority of the time we use our standard wood foundation.

We can generally make these sheds HOA compliant, but it depends on the specific neighborhood and their requirements.

Standard Edition Sheds are our most efficient option, and we can generally build any size within 1-2 days on site.

Beau and his guys showed up and had my shed built in 1 day. I have a modern style house and I wanted my shed to match that modern style. We have a narrow pathway to where the shed was to be built so we couldn’t do a prefab building. Beau and I went back and forth over design ideas and came up with the design that compliments our house perfectly. He listened to what we wanted and definitely delivered. I’ve had many compliments on this shed and it is performing great. The process of him building it at his shop then disassembling it and putting it together at our site really makes it a better product. 6 months ago Beau and his team built an 18x24 shed in our backyard to be half “man-cave” and half garage. I can’t say enough great things about Beau and his team. From helping tear down the existing structure, to making changes on the fly, it turned out amazing. Would highly recommend using SquareShed vs the pre-built options around the Carolinas. Wish I had more room to build another one!

Square Shed was so easy to work with from start to finish! To start, we gave Beau our HOA guidelines (which are super strict) and he gave us detailed plans that we could directly submit to them, which was approved without question. Communication was super great throughout the whole process, keeping us up to date with install dates and when our shed was being worked on in the shop. The crew at Square Shed arrived on time, were all super professional and kind with their matching Square Shed shirts and all introduced themselves before they got started. They worked hard all day and I was super impressed with the quality of the shed. I cannot recommend Square Shed enough! If you want a quality shed that will last, these are your guys!

The shed was built in one day (7 hours) and is affordable, quality designed, and constructed. Would 100% recommend to anyone needing a shed built. (Note: I added the ramp myself after the shed was built, no doubt a ramp built by Square Shed would have been much better quality and style).

Square Shed built exactly what I wanted. Great communication via text and email explaining the process and the different sheds that were available. I went back and forth with the design of my build and they sent over several detailed drawings until I decided on what I wanted. My shed had to be built on a slab and they accommodated my needs and deducted a fair amount for the wood flooring. The young man was very kind and respectful. We had seen a finished shed he had done for our SIL and was impressed with the quality of his work. He told us when to expect the delivery of the wood and it was on time. He showed up when he said he would. He worked hard all day and it showed in the quality of his work. Beau and his assistant built my 10X8 shed in about six hours! He explained to me how he can level the shed in the event the ground ever shifts and assured me that a quick call to him if anything goes wrong will fix it. They site built a shed for us 1 year ago. I purposely waited a year to review it. We are happy with our purchase. They did everything they said they would do for the price they quoted. More importantly, they did everything on time or ahead of the time they promised. This is absolutely unheard of with anything contractor related. Unheard of. The quality seems to be good one year later with no need for any return visits. (Again, this is unheard of.) They aren't the cheapest option, but they certainly make up for it in quality and keeping their word. I would hire these guys again.
